Arson investigators on Friday disclosed that they are currently in search for a potential suspect behind the destruction of three ATM's during an annual Skyworks display in Perth, as the city celebrates Australia Day recently. Authorities obtain their first lead from a CCTV footage, showing a man walking towards Harbour Town at around 8PM, approximately 15 minutes prior to the blast, according to a report from BigPondNews.com.
The explosion, which happened at around 8:15PM has by far inflicted substantial damages to three free-standing ATMs located in the Harbour Town shopping complex. Authorities however did not confirm whether money was taken from the incident. Right now, the police are appealing to any members of the public with information on the suspect, to immediately contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-333-000.
The unidentified man was later on caught on CCTV running to the top floor of Harbour Town after the explosion and then headed towards an exit through Market Street. Later on, the same man was seen walking towards the City West Train Station, at around 8:20PM and later at 8:30PM, he was seen walking down the northern side of the platform before heading to an exit onto the Railway Parade nearby City West.
